Every time I hear about our government's use of "drones", it bothers me.
I guess now it's OK to kill others anonymously as long as it's done in the name of "Homeland Security". It's kind of like the big boys' real life Xbox and makes you wonder if they truly understand there are real live people at the receiving end of their game.
And our government expects to be be respected and looked up to?
It's the money. As long as we need offensive/defensive technology, there's money to be made. If there's no unrest in the world, there's no reason for the contractors, government offices and all the other paraphernalia that goes along with killing other people. Peace is bad for the economy.
Many are beginning to see through the scare tactics; it's much like "scare" advertising. If you don't have X then something will get you. So it's OK to give up our freedoms for the sake of security - guess who just won that one! And its OK for the big boys to kill for their beliefs [power] - but just try that in your neighborhood.
